Appointed as a Non-Executive Director in February 2018, Sir John Key has played a vital role in various committees, including the Ethics, Environment, Social and Governance Committee, Risk Committee, Digital Business and Technology Committee, and Nomination and Board Operations Committee.

Prior to his directorial role, Sir John served as the Prime Minister of New Zealand from 2008 to 2016, commencing his political career in 2002.


He also boasts an extensive international finance background, having worked for Bankers Trust in New Zealand and Merrill Lynch in key financial centers such as Singapore, London, and Sydney. Additionally, he was a member of the Foreign Exchange Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 1999 to 2001.

Sir John’s remarkable contributions have earned him prestigious honors, including being named a Knight Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours. He was also recognized as a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2017 for his efforts in advancing the Australia-New Zealand bilateral relationship, solidifying his status as a respected figure in both countries.
